Marina McAdam, M.ED.
Life Coaching
Marina has been drawn to psychology and human behavior since childhood. She was interested in the underlying mechanisms of the mind and emotions from an early age. This interest turned her attention to questions like:
How does one live with trauma?
Why do we get emotions and how?
What happens in our minds when we make a decision?
These questions followed her into adulthood where she can now use them to make a positive impact.

Becoming a teacher gave Marina the opportunity to apply her education in psychology to meaningful relationships. Teaching means guiding students through their challenging situations and helping them to shift their perspective. Marina mastered this, all while modeling love and acceptance.
Outside of teaching, personal experiences during that same time gave Marina a depth of understanding that still enables her to help people face problems and find solutions. This only added to the skills that have become the foundation of her work: helping people identify their patterns of behavior, helping them find the roots of those patterns, and offering solutions that rewire the brain and challenge these behaviors.
Now, Marina is equipped to work in the areas of relationships, parenting, addiction, attachment and career in order to help clients create a balanced life.
In addition, Marina works as a patient family advocate and helps clients navigate the confusing and murky waters of healthcare, understand procedures, connect with doctors and specialists, look at options for treatment, financial responsibilities and more. as well as provides emotional support in going through diagnostics and treatment.

Yoga
Marina started a journey in yoga for exercise and, over the years of dedicated practice, found that her emotional and spiritual health were benefiting as well. Through her own transformation in yoga, she was inspired to research how yoga can help people on every level.
Yoga is now an integrated part of Marina’s life coaching because of the way that it highlights and strengthens clients’ connection between mind and body. Supplementing coaching with yoga has allowed her to help clients release emotions that are trapped in the body and balance their daily lives.
Marina is certified by the Yoga Alliance Professionals and practices Ashtanga yoga. During the summers, she continues her education by training and learning to incorporate more into her sessions. While yoga is available as a part of a life coaching program, people can also book yoga specific sessions for 1-3 people.
Educational Consulting
Marina has worked in education for 20 years and has had experience with many educational environments. She has worked with elementary, middle, and high school grades as well as students in college. In addition to working directly with children, Marina also handled administration in educational environments.
This diverse education experience allows her to assist with everything from choosing a school for a child to college enrollment for adults. Marina is further set apart from others in this realm because of her passion for non-traditional teaching and philosophies. Children and adults who struggle to fit into the rigid education system can benefit from a compassionate consultant with knowledge in this area.
In addition, Marina hosts a variety of workshops that help provide a public forum for teaching styles that are outside of the norm. She gives speeches and presentations to help students, teachers, and parents to understand alternative approaches to education.
